The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is responsible for the site within St Catherine's Churchyard.
Many residents and visitors will have viewed the graves and read the inscriptions thereon but who were these men that lie there?
Clare Wilson, a genealogist with a great interest in Bomber Command has researched the individuals buried here (54 servicemen from WWII and one from WW1) and as she states "they are a lot more than just names and dates etched in stone... these men served, fought and died for their country"
